Can you run it?

So yeah we all love to try new games.

But before buying the game or installing it, have you thought if your PC will run that game smoothly?

I brought you the solution for that :)

Just enter this website : Can You Run it?

Question: How to use it?

Answer: Just pick up a game from the list, may ask that it will need to download something, then test will begin.

Then it will show you the result if your system pass it or no,

It will search for what hardware you are using and will show you the fill result, CPU, Video card, Ram and other results.

Pass! rise your head

your PC didn’t pass :(

Hardware: Hard Disk Drive (HDD)

Hello,

today I will try to explain what is the Hard Disk Drive (HDD)

A hard disk drive (HDD), commonly referred to as a hard drive or hard disk

Capacity of a hard disk drive is usually quoted in gigabytes ( 1GB= 1024MB) and terabytes (1TB=1024GB). Older HDDs quoted their smaller Capacities in megabytes, some of the first drives for PCs being just 5 or 10 MB.

But today we got up to 1 terabytes HDDs ( 1TB = 1024GB )

Hard disk drives used to be massive size. but with the technology they became so small and it has more capacity

Hard Disk’s comes in models and speeds

HDD Models:

Currently most used is ATA and SATA.

ATA ( AT Attachment ) is the current standard, it uses regular molex power connectors and IDE (Integrated Drive Electronics) cables.

SATA ( Serial Advanced Technology Attachment ) is a newer product (also SATA2) – it is faster than ATA and uses different cables – much thinner and neater.

HDD Speed:
Also take into consideration the Round Per Min (RPM) of the drive, 5400 is a bit slow, 7200 is good, 10,000 is fast but can be quite noisy.

Servers generally use 10k rpm SCSI hard drives, but SCSI is unusual in home computers.

Today many people use Extrenal HDD’s for their Data needs.

An external hard disk drive is a type of hard disk drive which is externally connected to a computer. Modern entries into the market consist of standard SATA, IDE, or SCSI hard drives in portable disk enclosures with SCSI, USB, IEEE 1394 Firewire, eSATA client interfaces to connect to the host computer.

I hope that you learn something new about this

And I guess we explained the basic information about the HDD.

Hardware: Random Access Memory (RAM)

I bet we all heard the word “RAM” right? lets find out more about it.

Random Access Memory (RAM) gives space for your PC to makes it read and write data so it could be used by the CPU (Central Processing Unit).

When you add more ram to your PC, you will reduce the amount of times your CPU that must to read data from your HDD ( Hard Disk Drive). This will make your PC work much faster, as RAM is many times faster than a hard disk drive(HDD).

RAM is volatile, so data stored in RAM stays there only as long as your computer is running. As soon as you turn the computer off, the data stored in RAM disappears.

Hardware: Before I start

Hello all, I know it been a while since my last topic.

I was thinking about sharing a useful information’s , I was thought about sharing my knowledge about the computer systems since I study them.

I will be sharing some basic information’s so you can learn some experience in the computers as well.

I will be starting with simple things first so you can catch up with me.
